The World Bank Environment and Safeguard Framework (ESF) Team carried out a mission in Gombe to assess compliance at the FCE(T), GGC Doma, and Railway Line gully erosion control sites following the commencement of project activities.
The ESF Team, which includes Lucky Erhaze and Elijah Siakpere, evaluated the implementation of project-level ESF measures and other Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) obligations under the ACReSAL project.
During this mission, the Team reviewed the progress of all approved ESF documents and other ESCP commitments. They monitored the disclosure of Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) that have been cleared and assessed the status of occupational health and safety as well as community safety during ongoing civil works.
