The Gombe State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project has organized a capacity-building workshop for members of the Peace Building Committees drawn from all 11 Local Government Areas of the state.
The training focused on “Early Warning and Early Response” mechanisms as part of efforts to accelerate the project’s development objectives.
Speaking during the session, the Project Coordinator, Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro, charged participants to internalize and apply the knowledge gained to promote peace and harmony across their communities.
He also emphasized the need to build on the peace-driven leadership style of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Dr. Jauro further urged the trainees to serve as peace ambassadors by shunning conflict and embracing dialogue, unity, and collective responsibility for a safer society.
