In a bid to deepen community involvement in environmental sustainability, the Gombe State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project has inaugurated two new Community Associations in Sabon Garin Bogo and Gobona.

The associations were established as part of the 18-kilometre GGCM Doma Gully intervention site and catchment area. Each community elected nine executive members to lead the newly formed bodies, which are expected to play a crucial role in mobilizing residents to access and benefit from the project’s livelihood components.

This move underscores ACReSAL’s ongoing commitment to environmental restoration and community empowerment, in line with its mission: Greening the environment, saving lives.
