Gombe State University Gully Erosion Control To Be Commissioned

The Gombe State University gully erosion control works undertaken by Gombe State through the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project – NEWMAP will soon be officially commissioned by His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Gombe State ACReSAL/NEWMAP Project Coordinator, Amb. Sani Adamu Jauro made this known after leading the project team on an inspection of the site.
He said the inspection which came following instruction by the Governor was meant to assess the status of the sites which has been completed in 2021 by Triacta Nigeria Limited before the official commissioning.
While commending Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for supporting the successful implementation of the Gombe State University gully erosion control which has saved over 100,000 lives Amb. Sani Adamu also thanked Triacta Nigeria Limited for executing quality work.
The Project Coordinator assured that all the observations noted during the inspection especially those bordering on the physical structure, bioremediation, and the renovation of Kagarawal primary school would be addressed by Triacta before the official commissioning.
