Gombe State ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Amb. Sani Adamu Jauro leads the ACReSAL Team to form and inaugurate Local Government Project Management Committees (LGPMC) in Nafada, Funakaye, and Dukku LGAs.
The Committee would assist the ACReSAL PMU in the implementation of the project at the local government level.
The Team also formed committees for human-hippo relations to ensure harmonious and peaceful coexistence between humans and the bloat of hippos around Dadin-Kowa, Kupto, and Nafada zones.
At Nafada a committee for the monitoring and supervision of the Automated Flood Early Warning System (AFEWS) installed during NEWMAP was inaugurated.
Members of the various committees comprised relevant local government officials, representatives of traditional leaders, religious leaders, women groups, youth, farmers, and people living with disabilities.
