Gombe State ACReSAL plants 250 seedlings in Kwami LGA.
Gombe state ACReSAL has taken it’s tree planting exercise rural, planting 250 species of Ficus plant, Mahogany, Mango, Cashew, Eucalyptus, Guava at Gundumar Wuro Jabbe Community of Kwami LGA.
Addressing members of the community during the tree planting on behalf of the Project Coordinator, Dr. sani Adamu Jauro the Climate Change officer, Aminu Maigari Malala said the campaign which was in support of the Gov. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s bid to plant 1 million seedlings every year.
He urged the members of the community to embrace the exercise and help green the environment to reduce the adverse effects of climate change and to reduce the extent at which trees are cut down in their community.
He further urged them to see this exercise as their own way of adding value to the environment.
In his response the village head, Alh. Babayo Sambo appreciated the efforts of the project for greening their immediate community and the state at large.
He therefore called on members of the community to join hands with the ACReSAL Project in planting the trees and assured of nurturing the seedlings planted to full maturity.
The village head commended Gov. Inuwa and the ACReSAL Project for recognizing and supporting their community.
