Gombe State ACReSAL Begins 5-Day GRM Training
Stakeholders from across Gombe State have converged at the Command Guest House, Bauchi, for a five-day training on Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) under the ACReSAL initiative.
Traditional rulers, academics, community leaders, legal experts, and journalists are participating to strengthen accountability and justice in project implementation.
Declaring the training open, the Gombe State Commissioner of Water, Environment and Forest Resources, Mohammed Sa’idu Fawu, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mohammed Abubakar Bello Kumo) stressed:
“GRM is not just a technical process but a moral obligation, ensuring fairness, inclusiveness, and justice in all projects.”
Project Coordinator Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro commended stakeholder cooperation and urged active participation to improve service delivery.
The training aims to equip stakeholders with tools to handle grievances efficiently, enhance transparency, and reinforce trust between the government, implementers, and communities.
