GOMBE ACReSAL TO SUPPORT PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITY
The Gombe State Project Coordinator for the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes – ACReSAL, Amb. Sani Adamu Jauro has promised to provide for people living with disabilities.
This came when the Joint National Association of People Living with Disability (JONAPWD) paid a courtesy call to him at his office, today.
Amb. Sani Adamu who expressed joy with the visit said the ACReSAL Project was about equity, justice, and inclusiveness, stressing that priority attention would be given to the vulnerable.
He said credit must be given to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for providing all the needed support to the ACReSAL Project and bringing a lot of programmes aimed at improving the livelihoods of the citizenry especially people living with various forms of disabilities.
Earlier in a remark, the Gombe State Chairman of the JONAPWD, Barr. Ishaku Adamu said the association is an umbrella organization of persons with disabilities working to guarantee the rights of its members through specific projects, advocacy, and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
He commended Gombe State ACReSAL for working to ensure a good environment, availability of water, and improved agriculture, calling on the management to always factor JONAPWD members in the scheme of activities.
