The Gombe State ACReSAL, Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro, Coordinator has urged communities near the FCE(T) gully erosion control project to support its implementation.

Speaking at a training organized by the Jewel Environmental Initiative at Gombe State University, he highlighted the water harvesting scheme as part of a broader catchment management strategy to provide water resources and prevent flooding.

Dr. Jauro emphasized that the initiative aligns with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa’s commitment to protecting lives and the environment through gully control and tree planting.

In his remarks, Jewel Environmental Initiative project coordinator Ismail Umar Bima encouraged participants to avoid dumping waste in water channels.

The Acting Senior District Head of Gombe, Alh. Usman Shetima praised the governor’s ongoing support for the ACReSAL project.

For hundred and fifty participants attended the training session.
