COMMUNITIES PRAISE GOV. INUWA OVER APPOINTMENT OF ACReSAL PC Leaders of communities facing the threat of the Doma gully in Gombe town have extolled Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for appointing Amb. Sani Adamu Jauro as the Project Coordinator for the Gombe State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes – ACReSAL Project.The community leaders who were at the ACReSAL office on a courtesy call expressed confidence in Amb. Sani Jauro to deliver on the task, describing him as a knowledgeable, hardworking and competent person that would support the project implementation in the state.They appealed to the Project Coordinator and the state government to intervene and address the gully affecting their communities that include Malam Kuri-Gabukka, Libiya-Kuwait-Nayinawa which would have been addressed by NEWMAP.Responding to the community leaders, the Project Coordinator, Amb. Sani Adamu Jauro thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the opportunity to serve the state, assuring that he would work with his team to implement the ACReSAL objectives of improving Agriculture, water and land management.He assured them of the present administration’s readiness to treat the gully under the Doma River bank stabilization, adding that the process of detailed engineering design has already commenced.The community leaders who visited the office include Abdullahi Jabbo Isa, Mohammed Isa Malamsidi, Haruna Idris, and Umar Abdullahi.Others were Grace Micah, Rhoda John and Mal.
