ACReSAL NPC Dr. Umar Commends Stakeholders as Project Finalises Key Plans for Additional Funding
The National Project Coordinator (NPC) of the ACReSAL Project, Abdulhamid Umar, has applauded Federal MDAs, the World Bank, and participating states for their vital technical contributions in strengthening the project’s operational framework ahead of its Additional Financing rollout.
Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop in Lagos, Umar praised representatives from the 19 participating states, the FCT, and the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) for their active engagement. He also commended the World Bank team for their continuous technical guidance and partnership.
Highlighting the ministry’s commitment, Mrs. Ada Chukwu of the Federal Ministry of Finance emphasized that strong synergy, prudent financial management, and fiduciary transparency remain key to ensuring project resources translate into direct benefits for local communities, farmers, and the landscape.
A major feature of the mission included strategy presentations by State Communications Officers, reinforcing the role of strategic visibility and public engagement in tracking impact across project intervention sites.
With the finalisation of key implementation guidelines and work plans, ACReSAL is fully positioned to scale up land restoration, bolster climate resilience, and expand socio-economic support across Northern Nigeria.
