ACReSAL Task Team Leader Commends Gov. Inuwa On Industrial Park
The World Bank Task Team Leader on the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes – ACReSAL, Dr. Joy Iganya Agene has commended the Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the establishment of the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park.
Dr. Joy made the commendation after inspecting the park alongside specialists from the World Bank, the ACReSAL national and states delegation as part of the 5-day ACReSAL Implementation Support Mission in Gombe State activities.
The establishment of the park according to her was a massive achievement that would bring development to the state. She, however, recommended the inclusion of the communities around the park in the overall plan.
The Task Team Leader also requested the plan to see possible areas of intervention by the ACReSAL Project in terms of the plantation that would cover over 200 hectares.
The Team also inspected the Kanawa Forest Reserve and interacted with the community members involved in plant nursery development being supported by the Gombe State ACReSAL as one of the project’s interest groups.
On the Barunde gully erosion site which the team also inspected the Leader advised that the gully fingers should be linked together for ease of implementation.
